As implied in its name, a windowless air conditioner isn’t affixed to the window. It’s a standalone unit that’s also easy to transport. There’s also no lengthy installation required from a professional. With summer here, now is the ideal time to consider adding this appliance to your Puyallup household. Here are some points to keep in mind when making this investment.

What Room Size Is the Unit Designed For?

AC units are available in multiple sizes. Generally, bigger units equate to more power output and are designed for larger interiors. You want to look for a unit that’s the right size for the specific room you want to cool. A unit that’s too large in relation to the room size will use more output than needed and won’t be very energy efficient.

How Long Is the Cord?

Where are the outlets located in the room you’re planning to place the windowless AC? While this seems like a relatively minor issue, a cord that’s inadequate in length may pose problems if the room lacks outlets, or the outlets are positioned in inconvenient sections.

What Is the Energy Efficiency Rating?

Appliances are usually labeled with an energy efficiency rating. The details should include an estimate of the cost to power the unit. The info is a good way to compare two AC systems and can help you decide which one is more effective and economical.
